i wish i could be funnier...
my attempt to keep up with technology while being a 30-something mom to a preschooler and an infant. considering how frequently i can check my email (or shower for that matter) this is bound to be boring - hold on to your hats...
Lazy at the Pump
-Hunson N.
(I think Oregon and New Jersey are the only two states where it is illegal to pump your own gas.)Yesterday my sister and I drove out to Washington to pick up a trunk I bought off of CL (Its pretty sweet). On on way back, my sister started to panic, “o shit! we got to get out of here now!! Like, RIGHT NOW!”
I asked her whats wrong.
Jill-“We need to get back to Portland, my gas light just went on and I dont know how to pump my own gas!!”
Me- “Me either!! Lets get outta here!”We are pathetic.
I can totally relate to this, NJ is other state full of people who can’t pump their own gas -
For $1 a day you could feed this child for a month.
Please feed the children.
They need you.
wtf, that kid is not starving, cause she is eating from my breast CONSTANTLY! just give me the dollar so i can go to wendy’s - feed the momma
break ups
well Matt and I broke up. I’m feeling pretty sick to my stomach but that could be the cig I bummed from him. I’m hoping I’ll lose the ten lbs breakup weight so that should be good. I told him I loved him and I was tired. And that was it.
I feel really alone right now
:( - i can offer some free cyber counseling if you want - or just drink a beer for you on eastern standard time, you choose…
Mom Art
by Maija Barnett
The art of mothering isn’t hard to master,
though sometimes you may feel so nearly spent
your daily life becomes one long disaster.
Even mundane tasks can make you flustered— like nursing in a crowded restaurant.
The art of mothering isn’t hard to master.
And diapering, well, that’s a gory task for
moms whose babes are never quite content
to stay still while mom wipes up each disaster.
Take learning to nurse— a job that’s clearly vaster
than trudging through the Arctic continent.
The art of mothering isn’t hard to master.
And so it goes, the days and nights speed faster,
a sleepless blur of love and fear intent
on breaking you— which would be a disaster.
But then your baby grows, and your heart festers.
Will having two kids make you more content?
The art of mothering isn’t hard to master
though sometimes (Write it!) it IS a disaster!
Itchy & Scratchy
On my camping trip I ended up being eaten alive by the mosquitos. None on my arms but a ton on my feet. I wake up scratching all the time. This is a whole new way of torture.
put some scotch tape on those bug bites, i just learned this a week ago and i swear it works - maybe placebo but i don’t care as long as i am not itchy anymore!
Tonight’s On Demand Guilty Pleasure: Money Train
